If your vehicle is involved in an accident, New Jersey law allows you to choose the collision repair facility you trust. Your insurance company cannot require you to have your vehicle repaired at a specific body shop.

Used vehicle warranty rights

Many used vehicles sold by licensed New Jersey dealerships are covered under the New Jersey Used Car Lemon Law, depending on the vehicle’s age, mileage, purchase price, and other eligibility requirements.

If your vehicle qualifies, you may be entitled to a dealer-provided limited warranty and certain remedies if a covered defect cannot be repaired within the requirements of the law.
